Now that xmas is over and done with, presents have been given, puzzled over, explained, and then appreciated …… its time for me to list. I am quite happy with my efforts this year. Travelling to Qld for xmas was a costly endeavour, and so I was adamant that I would be giving a lot of me-made stuff, to offset the cost. This included my work friends gifts as well as friends and family. This has meant planning, and making in advance …. and I think that alone has contributed to me keeping cost to a minimum. We have got by this year without touching the credit cards, which is very pleasing.
First up, was an apron and mug rug for a work friend. Vintage cottons and quilting cottons.
An apron and tea towels for my grandmother … quilting cottons and bias binding
Mug Rugs for various work friends. My first foray into quilting, and while its lovely, its not something I am overly in love with.
A trivet for my work friend who is an avid cook
Lunch Sacks for some work friends ….. quilting cottons again.
Eye masks for my work friends …. these were paired with coffee mugs.
Tea towel sets (1 with drawer organisers, 2 with pot holders) for various friends and family
Undies for my brother, a nightie for my niece.
A Shopping tote for my mother and a good friend from work
iPad sleeves for the boss and deputy boss at my work
Handbags for a work friend, plus for my cleaner, and my sister
There were other stuff as well, but that is a huge post and that will do. Looking at my list, I feel exhausted, but at the same time, proud. And I am already planning my xmas list for next year.
